Waldstätterweg

Experience the history of Switzerland on this fantastic panoramic hike. The Waldstätterweg trail leads around Lake Lucerne in combination with the Swiss Path. You can look forward to panoramic hikes on the Bürgenstock, the passage over the Rengg Pass with views of the lakes of Central Switzerland and the idyllic Rütli meadow on Lake Uri.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the Lake Lucerne Landscape Conservation Association (LSVV) created the “Waldstätterweg” as a complement to the Way of St. James and the Swiss Path around Lake Lucerne. Over the next two years, the LSVV is organising the Lake Lucerne Experience Hike. It follows these two routes in a total of nine stages around the lake. The hikes are accompanied by experts who provide insights into the cultural landscape of Lake Lucerne.
